This fabulous antique Gold gilt heart bracelet is Victorian Circa 1890.
The wonderful piece is articulated and made up of lovely heart links set with Nacre Pearls and sparkling bronze Aventurine's.
The bronze coloured Aventurine is sometimes known as Gold stone and is said to be a lucky stone as the Italian name ‘aventura’ means 'by chance’ describing the lucky way in which it was discovered.
Nacre also known as Mother of Pearl is found on the inside layer of some molluscs and has a lovely natural shimmer.
The clasp is fitted with a safety chain and a beautiful heart charm that is half Nacre Pearl and half Aventurine too.
The piece is beautifully engraved, all set in base Metal which is gilded in Gold.
This is a sweet, sentimental piece that is steeped in history!
